17th April 2026 – Summer Golf is here!
As the course continues to get better and better each day and the summer golfing season gets closer, we are now pleased to confirm that the Red, Yellow, and White tees are all back in play.
Please note that the 17th tee will remain on the mat until the new tee is ready.
Course conditions have also now changed to lift, clean, and place on closely mown areas ONLY (fairway length or shorter). If you see anyone breaching these rules then please tell them. As a result, handicaps will be affected from tomorrow in both general play rounds and competitions.
Bunkers are now to be played as they lie. We kindly ask all members to leave them as they would wish to find them and ensure they are properly raked after use.
As always please replace divots and repair pitchmarks to keep our course in fantastic condition all season long.

21st August 2025 – The Millers Retain Their D&C League Title!!
Our Derbyshire & Cheshire League team have beaten Reddish Vale 6.5-5.5 at Cavendish Golf Club in the D&C final to retain the Trophy they won last year! The only other team to do the double was Shrigley Hall in the 80’s.
In the final, Baz Lawson led the Millers out and gained a half, Steve Worrall battled through for another half, then Tony Hall recorded the first win to make it all square. Another two losses and the Millers are behind, then James Ignotus pulled one back. Paul Holland romped in with a win! Another loss and the Millers were behind. Elliott Brownsword got it level with one match remaining. “Lucky Brooky” (Mark Brooks) was 2 down with 5 to play, but managed to level his match and then went one up with one hole to play. With nerves playing a big part on the night, he looked calm rolling in a 4ft putt for the match on the 18th green!!! So we won 6.5 to 5.5 – an amazing effort by all in involved!
Thanks to this years squad for making the club very proud. Elliott Brownsword, Chris Wood, James Ignotus, Sean Moore, Ben Williams, Steve Worrall, Stuart Milner, Barry Lawson, Mark Brooks, Jordon Worrall, Paul Holland, Tony Hall, Chris Ashton, Chris Lees, Gary Murray, Matt Gibbons, Gethin Evans and captain Darryl Hall.

5th May 2025 – New Mills & Withington Mixed Team Event
Another fabulous day had by all at the Withington exchange day held at New Mills Golf Club on 5th May 2025.
It was the turn of New Mills Golf Club to have the pleasure of hosting our annual golfing mixed team played over 18 holes. Teams of four made up of a male & female player from Withington, and a male & female player from New Mills Golf Club, competing as a team.
The weather was kind to us, although slightly chilly in comparison to previous weeks. However, the views remain spectacular. Start of the season and the course didn’t fail to impress. A great day followed by exceptional hospitality and food provided by Steve and Kirsty.
Congratulations to the winning team, Angeline & Paul Crawford, Jo & Peter Coull (pictured below).
