**  CLARINS TEAM ARE RETURNING ON 27 OCTOBER  ** 

The Clarins team from John Lewis at Cheadle offered their services to provide a wonderful evening of beauty - on the evening of Wednesday 21 April. Yvonne Cawley, wife of a member at the Club but not a member herself, went along and wrote the following by way of a thank you.

Upon arrival, everyone was welcomed to the event with a complimentary glass of wine and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for prizes totalling over £450. Everyone also received a complimentary goody-bag which contained an array of Clarins samples, including a couple for the man in your life - a cracker for the £5 entry ticket!

The room itself was set out in an informal style so people could sit and chat over a drink before & after the event. As tickets had been limited this time - I went to the a charity event last year that was full to overflowing - it meant that everyone got a seat (which is a must at my age!) and so enabled people to be able to move around comfortably, without having to push through crowds.

The Clarins team from John Lewis were extremely friendly, and engaging and as you would expect, very knowledgeable about their products. The Lady Captain, Avis Proctor, was a “willing” volunteer to have a “make-over” and the Clarins Team talked the audience through each stage of the process, giving full details of how to use each product. The final result was impressive and looked very natural, and Avis very kindly walked round to each table to show the results at close quarters.

During the demonstration, the Clarins team asked questions about the products – which made sure we were paying attention! There was an added incentive to listen and learn though, as they were offering prizes for the correct answers - I was lucky enough to win a Clarins Body Moisturiser which smells absolutely gorgeous. We were told that a certain very famous lady uses Clarins – the Queen - so I am in good company.

We were given the opportunity to ask the team questions and to purchase Clarins products, offering special offers for on the night purchases, and if they did not have the products available, offered to post to you free of charge. Apart from the Clarins team there was also a stall selling an amazing selection of exquisite and unique jewellery and handbags, all at fantastic prices.

All in all this was a fabulous night which was not only relaxing and informative but great fun too. If you missed out this time, don’t worry because I understand that they are planning to hold another one later in the year. This Clarins Evening helped raise over £900 towards to Club's fundraising programme.
