How Did i DoThe Club are now using the Club 2000 membership and handicap system to not only streamline the administration of membership information, but also for maintaining the handicap information. The great advantage for members though is not the smoother admin by those who do that, but that up to date handicap information and results of competitions in can be viewed online. Additionally, when fully registered and verified you'll be able to print your own handicap certificate for entry into competitions when playing elsewhere. A paid for (minimal at £15) service will also text and Email you the results of competitions and any changes in your handicap - and it really does work!

To register and then see your resluts at How Did I Do, click on New Mills Golf Club. I'll be returing to this subject in the next few weeks with some instructions of how to register and use the How Did I Do service for those having difficulty navigating the site, but for those used to these type of sites, you should be able to navigate it just fine - I did, so you should be able to! To print your own handicap certificate from How Did I Do, you will need to enter a Verification Code that is managed through the Club 2000 system at the Club - contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Lastly, there's some very useful information that we can get from the Handicap system that will help the Club refine some of the competitions and cater for the lower and higher handicapped players differently. For example, from the results of the 1st Medal, only the higher handicappers got 2's or better (John White with his hole-in-one) of the 4th and 6th holes, whilst the lower handicappers were exclusive to the 8th and 15th holes. These may be statistical anomolies, but could be useful information when deciding on which hole to have the nearest the pin competitions on for example.
