Seniors Section

Seniors invitation to Ladies day 2011 - Triumph over disasterby Steve Price The Ladies and Seniors sections of the club play two events in the year. Both provide an opportunity for some very enjoyable social golf with a bit of competitiveness built in. The Seniors section of the club, which welcomes members over the age of 55, is very strong and both sections work hard to provide additional funds and support for the club through the various matches and events they organise throughout the year. |

Social Events
|
The end of 2010 saw a number of social events at the club all of which have been well supported by members and their friends.
Sadly the Annual Dinner dance before Christmas had to be cancelled because of the atrocious weather. However, the Christmas concert by Bollington Brass Band was able to go ahead and once again was a huge success with, according to Mr. Captain, the ‘Twelve days of Christmas’ being the highlight of the evening involving lots of audience participation and dare we say a fair bit of competitiveness! Once again Musical director, Pete Christian and his band provided a superb evening’s entertainment and got those who came along into the Christmas spirit.
The Children’s Christmas party was the last major event to be organised by retiring Steward and Stewardess Peter and Pat Chadwick and Santa and his little helpers were once again a huge success with the children. A presentation was made to Peter and Pat by House Chairman Arthur Oliver who wished them both a long and happy retirement and thanked them for all their hard work on behalf of the club over the last 10 years.
