Open Day at New Mills Golf Club

The open day is our opportunity to show the local community what a great place New Mills Golf Club is.

Unfortunately none of these mini competitions are open to members but we do need you to volunteer to help run these by volunteering to either stand on the tee or act as a marker or ball retriever.

We are offering visitors, who have some golf experience, the chance to play a complimentary nine holes on the back nine (either as a two, three or four ball) and would like some New Mills members to be available to play alongside visitors if they want either someone to play with or require a bit of course expertise!

The front nine will be closed on the day but members can still play the back nine holes although priority on the day will be given to visitors. In addition to these activities, there will be a Wii golf competition inside the clubhouse. Again if you can help with any of these please sign up.

If you are helping on the day can you please wear a club t shirt or sweater so that visitors can easily identify you as a member?

There will be a Tombola stall on the day and so we are appealing to members to donate a prize for this. Please leave your donation with John and Liz.

Is it a star, a golf ball? No, it's Father Christmas!

The childrens’ Christmas Party was yet again a resounding success, well so the children declared anyway! There was such a wonderful feeling of magic in the clubhouse, with even the ‘Bah Humbug’ adults falling for the absolute faith of the children.

There was a great reception for the Reindeer, Sponge Bob Square Pants and a Smurf, all of whom helped to keep the dancing going at the disco.
