|Children's Christmas Party - December 2011|
Is it a star, a golf ball? No, it's Father Christmas!

The childrens’ Christmas Party was yet again a resounding success, well so the children declared anyway! There was such a wonderful feeling of magic in the clubhouse, with even the ‘Bah Humbug’ adults falling for the absolute faith of the children.
There was a great reception for the Reindeer, Sponge Bob Square Pants and a Smurf, all of whom helped to keep the dancing going at the disco.
There were games to be won, and songs to be sung, and this was before Santa arrived! Liz and John once again produced a wonderful snack for the children, with each one having their own tray of goodies to eat.
The thick snow certainly added to the ambience of the party, with the reindeer (2 very game but frozen members) in waiting for the man himself. With Jingle Bells ringing out from the disco, the children migrated outside to see the headlights of Santas transport careering (well it was thick snow!) down the 10th fairway. Not sure who got more excited, the parents or the children. And then! Santa had a little chat with them all before giving out an individually chosen present.
In the meantime, the adults took refuge in a drink or two (it is surprising how noisy 51 children are!!).
Great fun was had by all, and more than one person had a little tear in their eye at the delight on the faces of the children as they took their gift from Santa. Who dares not to believe?
