Derek Horsey Charity Competition 2013
19 hardy seniors took part in the Derek Horsey Charity competition on Tuesday 2nd April 2013. Despite it apparently being spring the players had to withstand a biting easterly wind and for those out first, even flurries of snow! Mike Howard with a net score of 68 was the winner of the competition with Steve Price just a shot behind in second place. Graham Elliott with 71 and Tom James with 72 completed the top spots. Mike and Steve go forward to represent the club in the knock out stages of the competition against winners of other clubs’ competitions throughout the North West. We wish them luck and hope they progress all the way to the final! |

Junior's Open Day Roll Up
14th April 2013 at 1.30pm Open to Junior Members, Non Members and Dave's After School clubs.
Experienced golfers and beginners welcome. We will have a mix of nine and six and three hole comps, with beginners starting from 150 yard markers.
Please be at the Club by 1.15pm, as we will look to go out in teams of four and put mates together where possible. We will be finished with time to spare before the Cup semi final which kicks off at 4.00pm. |

Junior Section - Good News Item.As a result of years of practice and dedication, both Keane Hyde and Jack Marshall have been selected to play for Derbyshire Juniors against Yorkshire Juniors at Buxton & High Peak on the 8th April 2013. There are ten in each team, playing in foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon. Well done to both guys, it is a great honour to play for the County and also reflects well on New Mills as a Golf Club. We will keep
you posted on how well they do. |
