Two gnomes sighted on New Mills Golf Course! Where did they come from? And what mischief were they up to?
Well, actually, it was the Lady Captain and Lady Vice Captain with a small entourage, planting up the rockery on the approach to the 1st tee. The front bed had been beautifully planted by Nigel with the donation of plants by Lady President.
The weather for the planting was less than desirable, but at least the plants were well watered in. Many of the ladies had donated plants for the rockery, for which Lady Captain was very grateful, and she hopes that it will become a habit every time someone passes by, to pick out the weeds.
Liz and John, our ever attentive steward and stewardess, provided coffee and cake for the bedraggled gnomes, which helped to resuscitate their spirits! |
