A short par 3 across the top of the back nine, club selection is very important on this hole as the front bunker makes the hole look shorter than it plays, but go too long and you will find yourself in the “quarry”. A generous sized green which slopes from front to back.

Easiest hole on the course - well according to the Score Index anyway! Enjoy stunning views back across Derbyshire and then turn to see the Cheshire plains with North Wales as a backdrop and the sprawl of Greater Manchester. Back to the golf, and you can't see the green just the bunker that appears just in front of it, but there's a raised platform behind it that rolls down to the green. Hit a good tee shot and you won't understand what all the fuss is about. Hard to believe that people lose balls on this hole but plenty do as there's rough on either side before you get to the bunker. The green has a bit of a slope which means your workisn't done just by getting on the green.
