A blind tee shot over the quarry face is one of the most talked about and feared shots on the course, get it wrong and your round could be ruined but get it right and a birdie is there for the taking.

This hole tends to upset people emotionally or psychologically more than any on the course, but provided you hit a good shot over the unusual obstacle of a quarry face, there plenty of fairway to land on. Landing on top of the quarry with a strong hit and the fairway will guide the ball towards and maybe on the green for you. However, the quarry face is daunting for many, especially those new to the course of stung by it in the past, and attracts balls into the quarry face or for the more wayward, into rough top right and top left if hit strongly. And you get to ring the bell after it to release those demons!
