 The Pro's assessment of Hole 8
A picturesque par 3 across the top of the course with the kinder downfall as a backdrop. A generous size green for a medium length par 3 but is well guarded on both sides.
Alken's assessment of Hole 8This should be a straight forward chip and putt, but there are a couple of bunkers protecting the green to catch those tentative tee shots. The view of the rest of the course, Derbyshire and Kinder are superb and maybe that distracts the unwary too easily as many make a mess of the tee shot and have to play catch up here. As the tee shot requires a high chip to clear the bunkers and drop onto the green, the wind can play a devilish trick here.
