The annual charity golf day for 2010 was held at New Mills Golf Club on Friday 09 July. The event, now in its third year, for the Alan (Mick) Jones Memorial Trophy with all proceeds being split between Ashgate Hospice and Alzheimer's Society. The day was quite hot and humid so the light breeze was very welcome, with the course and especially the greens being complimented by competitors for being in very good condition.
An enjoyable day was enjoyed by all who took part with the presentation following the buffet. The organisers, Norman Heald, Frank Bullough and Ray Farrell wish to thank everyone for their generous contributions and prizez for tombola and raffles, enabling all proceeds to go to their charities.
