Bistro Night

Another fabulous Bistro Night was enjoyed by all last Friday 14th October 2011. The evening was again fully booked, even Mr Captain was unable to secure a table.

Liz and John ensured everyone had a great evening, enjoying five star food and service. The menu was pitched just right with a good choice of dishes that suited eveybody's taste.

Starters ranged from deep fried black pudding to succulent prawns in garlic. There was a range of main courses including Liz's spectacular 'Tex Mex'. The cod loin was amazing proving yet again that John and Liz go out of their way to procure the finest of fresh ingredients. For those with hearty appetites there was a selection of sweets, the most popular being the bilberry pie.

Hare & Hounds Classic Vehicle Club

The Hare & Hounds Classic Vehicle Club has been going since November 1991 and is open to enthusiasts of all Classic Vehicles, for the enjoyment of classic cars, light commercials and bikes. On Sunday 22 May, the Club run will be through the Derbyshire countryside, finishing at New Mills Golf Club where their members will have their lunch.

This will be a terrific opportunity for members of the Golf Club to have a close look at some Classic Cars - we're expecting some 30-35 cars on the day, which will be parked on the car park by the clubhouse. There's no restrictions on the day, so friends, family and all those interested in seeing some classic cars that have been cherished and maintained to such a high standard are welcome to come and have a look from midday.
