I'm Dave Cullen, the new PGA Professional at New Mills Golf Club, and by way of introducing myself to members and occassional visitors alike, I'd like to offer some one-to-one lessons with a 2 for 1 price offer. This offer is available for until the end of May, but can only be used once per person. These lessons can be on any aspect of your game to try and get your handicap down a bit as we approach the summer competitions.

From time to time we all feel as though we've outgrown our clubs and seriously consider changing them. With improvements in technology, there's no need to fit around the clubs that we have somehow come to own.

For the discerning golfer who's keen to get the best out of their game, using clubs that make the most of a golfer's particular style rather than working against their technique can make a striking difference.

Seniors to Ladies 2012

A great start to the week as seven four ball teams consisting of two ladies and two Seniors took part in this fun event on Monday 16th April.

Played as a Quad am, over 13 holes, with the best lady and best Senior to score on each hole, the match was closely fought  in sunny, if rather cool conditions. Everyone enjoyed the golf and finished off with sandwiches and chips in the clubhouse.

Winners, with a superb score of 65 points, were the team of Lady Captain, Grace Watts, Mr Vice Captain and Rod Taylor.

Second place with another excellent score well above par was the team of Judith Johnson, Avis Proctor, Mike Howard and Don Cooper

Welcome return of Paul Waldron

New Mills Golf Club is pleased to welcome back the very talented singer, Paul Waldron on Wednesday 2nd May.

Paul has been a professional singer for over 25 years and has performed on cruise ships, at holiday camps and in a variety of hotels and other venues throughout the country. In addition he has appeared on the TV programme ‘Stars in their Eyes’ as well as BBC radio.

The event starts at 8pm prompt and will once again be compered by Alan Blakeman.

Tickets cost £5 payable at the door and the evening is open to all comers.

March 2012 - Ladies Annual Dinner

It is hard to believe that it is that time of year again! Yet another winter has flown by, and thankfully this year without too much bad weather.

With an excellent turnout of 40 ladies, Lady Captain welcomed us all with a Bucks Fizz, and words of praise for the wonderful table presentation by John and Liz and their staff.
